Why dryer vent cleaning matters

Maintaining your dryer vent is very important for safety and efficiency. A restricted vent makes your dryer work harder for every load, which means longer dry times, higher energy use, and unnecessary wear on the machine.

More seriously, lint is highly flammable, and a clogged vent is one of the leading causes of dryer fires. This is not maintenance you want to postpone.

Lint accumulates inside the cabinet around the drum and blower housing, not only in the duct run behind the machine.
