Range and stove repair
Stovetop faults are usually isolated and very repairable. On a gas range, a burner that clicks but never lights is often a dirty or misaligned igniter, a clogged burner cap port, or a spark module on its way out. On an electric range, a surface element that won't heat is commonly the element itself or the receptacle block it plugs into.
A burner that keeps sparking after the flame has lit points to a sensing circuit that isn't detecting the flame, which is both annoying and worth correcting promptly.
What we check
On gas models we inspect and clean the burner assemblies, verify the igniter alignment and test the spark module and wiring harness. On electric models we test the elements, the infinite switches, the receptacle blocks and the wiring for a broken leg. Where a stovetop and oven fail together, we look at the shared supply and the control board rather than treating them as two separate faults.
Gas appliance safety
Any smell of gas means shut off the supply and ventilate the area before calling. We service gas and electric ranges and handle burner and igniter work as part of a normal visit.
