Refrigerator repair before you lose the food
A refrigerator that stops cooling is urgent in a way most appliance failures aren't. Food safety and a fridge full of groceries are on the line, which is why we treat these calls as a priority.
Some causes are simple. A fridge that runs warm while the freezer is fine is often an airflow problem — a blocked evaporator fan or a frosted-over coil. Others, like a failed compressor or a sealed-system leak, are more involved. We diagnose first and tell you which one you're dealing with.
What we check
We test the temperature control and thermistors, the evaporator and condenser fans, the defrost system, the door gaskets and the compressor start components. Condenser coils packed with dust are a frequent and inexpensive culprit behind a fridge that runs constantly and never quite gets cold enough.
Water on the floor usually traces to a blocked defrost drain or a cracked drain pan. Ice makers fail for their own set of reasons, including a blocked fill tube or a failed inlet valve.
